UKDE was invited to attend the 2018 Beijing Global Fintech Summit

On November 16, Peking University Institute of Digital Finance and China Finance 40 Forum (CF40), Shanghai Finance Institute (SFI) and Financial City (CFCITY) jointly hosted the “2018 Global Fintech Summit in Beijing – —Financial Technology: Innovation and Supervision” Closed-door seminar, representatives from a number of national central banks and international outstanding financial technology companies participated in the event, Executives of UKDE Limited were invited to participate in the summit.

This seminar invites Chinese and European experts to conduct in-depth discussions on issues such as innovation and integration of finance and technology, implementation of regulatory technology application practices, and prevention of financial risks. Review and prospect the development of financial technology in the world and expand the international influence of China’s financial technology innovation. It also draws on international experience to accelerate the research and application of domestic regulatory technology.

Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of the City of London, led the Bank of England’s head of financial technology, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and 12 leading UK financial technology companies to attend this closed-door seminar with China Finance Regulators, industry research experts and leading companies have conducted in-depth discussions.

UKDE CEO Junsong Wu briefed introduced the development path of UKDE to Kunel Khatri, Minister Counselor of the British Embassy in China. While thanked the UK Department of International Trade (DIT) for its support and care during the UKDE development process. Mr. Kunal Khatri expressed his encouragement and appreciation for the development of UKDE and said that the UK Department of International Trade (DIT) and local government departments will continue to support the further development of UKDE in the financial services sector.

UKDE Group CRO Joseph Du shared with the Board of Directors of the Bank of Lithuania (Central Bank) Marius Jurgilas about the experience of visiting the Baltic countries earlier this month. Mr. Marius Jurgilas introduced the head of the Lithuanian Investment Promotion Department who visited China together and invited UKDE to the country to visit cooperation opportunities in the field of finance and science at a convenient time.

Ben Wang, Director of the UKDE Group, and Marlene Amstad, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Swiss Market Supervisory Authority, discussed the new regulations on financial technology regulation in Switzerland and agreed to meet again in Switzerland to discuss the relevant policies and practices of asset digitization.

The UKDE representatives also spoke with representatives of NEX Opportunities CEO Steve Gibson and Fintricity head Alpesh Doshi about the European financial regulatory policy and digital financial product innovation and agreed to further explore in the cooperation of financial products in London.
